What's New in PluralEyes 3.5
PluralEyes 3.5 is a major upgrade to the industry’s most trusted audio/video syncing software. The new features include:
- Correct Audio Drift. Sometimes the timing accuracy of audio recorders is just a little off, so that in longer recordings the sync between the audio and camera video drifts apart. In an industry first, PluralEyes 3.5 detects this and corrects it. Automatically, of course!
- Sync algorithm improvements. We never rest in our quest to keep improving what is the fastest and most accurate sync available anywhere. With PluralEyes 3.5, we've taken another big step forward to let you quickly and reliably sync previously impossible-to-sync clips.
- More formats for replace audio. Sometimes it’s handy to be able to create new video clips with the camera audio track replaced by high-quality external audio. PluralEyes has offered this feature for some time for MOV and AVI media. Now with PluralEyes 3.5, you can also replace audio in MTS, MP4 and just about every popular camera format there is (except not yet MXF). One of our most requested features!
- Span more. Long video clips create big files, so big that cameras split up big clips into several pieces, a process known as spanning. PluralEyes 3.5 now automatically detects spanned clips in one of the most popular formats where this happens: AVCHD. You don't need to know about the complicated internal file structure of these clips, PluralEyes takes care of all that for you. What you see on the timeline is one long unbroken clip, which is easier to work with and syncs faster and better too.
- Side-by-side, if you want it. If you are the cautious type and want to be able to continue use PluralEyes 3 after installing PluralEyes 3.5, no problem. You can have them both installed side-by-side and use whichever one strikes your fancy. (But just run one at a time.)
- Improved integration with Adobe Premiere Pro. We have been working closely with Adobe to make the integration between PluralEyes and Premiere Pro as convenient and glitch-free as possible. We are happy to report that several long-standing annoyances have been fixed up and PluralEyes 3.5 and Premiere Pro CC 2014 work together beautifully.
- Get framed. You now have the choice of showing a frame count instead of timecode in the timeline display. This is handy for calculating precise differences in the position of clips.
- Works with the latest NLEs. Support has been added for FCP X 10.1.2 and Premiere Pro CC 2014.
- Playback for more media types. MXF and MTS playback are now supported on Windows.
- More bits. PluralEyes is now a 64-bit application on Windows. Running under 32-bit Windows is no longer supported.
- Help us help you. You have the option to send us anonymous usage statistics that will help us improve the product.
- Lots o' bug fixes. Many bugs that you have reported to us have been addressed in this release. We have worked hard to make PluralEyes 3.5 as problem-free as possible. If you have suggestions or need help with any aspect of the product, please contact Support.
